Mice vs. Rats: Different Habits, Different Solutions
Understanding which rodent has invaded your space is critical. Their nesting habits and "neophobia" (fear of new things) dictate how we place our equipment.
Our Detroit specialists look for rub marks, dropping shapes, and gnaw patterns to determine the size of the population and the best path to total elimination.
House Mice
Can fit through a hole the size of a dime. Rapid breeders that contaminate food and commonly nest in insulation.
Norway Rats
Large, aggressive burrowers. Typically found in basements or crawlspaces. Can cause significant electrical damage.
Deer Mice
Common in suburban Detroit areas. Primary carriers of Hantavirus. Often seek shelter in garages and attics.
Rodents Are More Than Just a Nuisance
Fire Hazards & Health Risks
Rodents never stop chewing. Their teeth grow constantly, forcing them to gnaw on wires, PVC pipes, and structural beams.

The Problem With DIY Store Traps
Trap Shyness
Rats are highly suspicious and very smart. If a trap is set incorrectly, they will avoid it and teach their colony to do the same.
Poison Dangers
Consumer baits can lead to rodents dying inside walls, causing horrific odors and fly infestations.
Open Door Policy
Trapping 5 mice doesn't matter if there's a hole in your wall letting in 5 more every day.
Our 3-Step Rodent Defense
Eliminate. Seal. Sanitize.
We use an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach that focuses on long-term prevention rather than just temporary fixes.
1. Comprehensive Inspection
We crawl into attics and basements to find "entry highways." We don't just look for where they are; we look for how they got there.
2. Professional Exclusion
Using steel mesh, professional sealants, and metal flashing, we seal every hole larger than 1/4 inch. If they can't get in, they can't infest.
3. Population Knockdown
Once the house is sealed, we utilize high-capacity trapping to remove the rodents trapped inside, ensuring your home is rodent-free within days.
Our "Rodent-Free" Guarantee
If we perform a full structural exclusion and rodents manage to chew through our materials or find a new way in within 1 year, we will return and re-seal the area at zero cost to you.

FAQs
Rodent Control & Exclusion FAQs
Frequently asked questions about mice, rats, and how we keep them out of Detroit properties.
Yes. Our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach utilizes advanced baiting systems that are virtually odorless, have low toxicity to non-targeted animals, and produce no airborne particles.
For the vast majority of our services (Ants, Spiders, Rodents, Wasps), you do not need to leave your home. You can simply hang out in a different room while we work. The only exceptions are specialized treatments like full-home Bed Bug Heat Remediation or certain heavy-infestation Roach clean-outs, where we will provide you with a clear schedule in advance.
We pride ourselves on fast local response times. Most standard service requests are fulfilled within 24–48 hours. For urgent issues like an active hornet’s nest near an entrance or a sudden bed bug discovery, we offer emergency same-day or next-day priority scheduling.
Trapping is a temporary fix for the mice currently in your home. Exclusion is a permanent solution. We identify the dime-sized holes in your foundation, garage door seals, and utility lines, then seal them with industrial-grade materials like steel mesh and concrete sealants that rodents cannot chew through.
We use an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. Inside your home, we prioritize mechanical trapping and structural exclusion to prevent rodents from dying in inaccessible areas like wall voids. Outside, we use tamper-resistant bait stations to knock down the local population before they ever find a way in.
Mice can fit through a hole the size of a pen. Common entry points include garage door seals, weep holes in brick, and gaps where AC lines enter the house.
Yes. We strictly adhere to safety regulations, requiring 24-hour notification prior to the application of any specialized liquid or aerosol materials.
If you are not completely satisfied with a regular treatment, we will return to re-treat the area at no additional cost. Should issues persist, we will continue to work until resolved, or refund your last monthly payment, provided that established maintenance and sanitation requirements are met.
Invoices are sent on the first of each month and are due upon receipt.
